Two more Life-Changing, Job-Training Scholarships!  Treeches Randle and Venita Barnes are our latest Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training scholarship awardees.  Both of these scholarships are funded by our May 2019 Scramble for Scholarship fundraiser event at the Huntsville Country Club.

Treeches has raised two daughters and has worked as a caregiver for over 20 years.  She loves taking care of the elderly, giving her patients encouragement and hope, and has a goal to own her own nursing home.  Treeches will be enrolling at J.F. Drake State CNA training program.
Venita is making a career change from sales.  She has been a caregiver to her brother as well as her mother and father which inspired her career change.  Her family has a strong career tradition in the nursing profession and Venita will be joining them.  Venita will be enrolling at Calhoun for the CNA training program.  She will later enroll in Oakwood University's Registered Nursing program.

AOD thanks it's donors, sponsors, and volunteers for raising the funds for these scholarships and helping people take those next steps into obtaining the skills and credentials to better provide for themselves and their families.
