Heather Hatfield - Phlebotomy

AOD is pleased to announce our newest life-changing, job-training scholarship recipient - Heather Hatfield.  Heather will be starting Phlebotomy (blood drawing) training at Calhoun Community College in August 2017.  She is the first high school graduate in her family and plans to become a nurse.  Heather is a mother to a 6-month old son and is motivated to give him a wonderful life.  Her future career goal is to become a Registered Nurse and work at Athens Hospital or Huntsville Hospital and help mothers deliver their babies.  Heather loves children, family, and her church.   Heather's scholarship covers tuition and the fee for drug screening and background check.  We are pleased to be helping Heather achieve her goals and appreciate our donors who make our scholarships possible!

This scholarship is AOD's first scholarship with Calhoun Community College and extends the institutions we work with to three.  AOD also works with J.F. Drake State Community and Technical College and Global Tech Institute in Decatur, AL.
