AOD is pleased to announce our newest life-changing, job-training scholarship recipient - Heather Hatfield.  Heather will be starting Phlebotomy (blood drawing) training at Calhoun Community College in August 2017.  She is the first high school graduate in her family and plans to become a nurse.  Heather is a mother to a 6-month old son and is motivated to give him a wonderful life.  Her future career goal is to become a Registered Nurse and work at Athens Hospital or Huntsville Hospital and help mothers deliver their babies.  Heather loves children, family, and her church.   Heather's scholarship covers tuition and the fee for drug screening and background check.  We are pleased to be helping Heather achieve her goals and appreciate our donors who make our scholarships possible!

Cody was awarded an AOD scholarship which was funded by a generous donation from the Trideum Corporation in Huntsville, AL.  Cody is enrolled in the drafting program at J.F. Drake State Technical and Community College.  Cody got interested in drafting after taking drafting classes in high school.  His goals include eventually becoming an electrical engineer.

Jaron is a returning student in the Licensed Practical Nursing program at J.F. Drake State Community and Technical College.   Jaron has experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant and wants to eventually become a Registered Nurse and/or Physical Therapist.  Jaron enjoys participating in community cleanup work, particpating in his church's praise band, and volunteering with Vacation Bible School.  Jaron's scholarship support will start in 2015.
